The first option you have is to use fairy lights. Below is the list of tools you will need to hang fairy string lights on your wall:

Fairy lights
Nails or otherwise adhesive hooks
Measuring tape
Extension cord if the source of power isn't near

Steps:

Measure the area on the wall where you plan to hang the string lights.
Fix the nails or the adhesive hooks on the corners of the path you choose. You can use the hooks to arrange the fairy lightshowever you prefer.
Plug the fairy lights on the power source and continue from there until you reach the opposite corner.
